Natural Gemstones
Heech Jewellery works with natural gemstones selected for their color, character, cut, and individuality.
Natural gemstones may contain:
- Inclusions and internal features
- Variations in color and saturation
- Differences in transparency
- Color zoning
- Minor surface characteristics
These natural variations are part of each gemstone’s identity and are not necessarily defects.
Unless a product listing identifies the exact gemstone shown, a made-to-order piece may vary slightly from website photographs.
Precious Metals
The metal used in each design is listed in the individual product description.
Gold, platinum, and other precious metals naturally develop small scratches, marks, and surface changes through normal wear.
These changes are part of the natural evolution of a piece of fine jewelry and are not considered manufacturing defects.
Matte and Satin Finishes
Heech Jewellery frequently uses soft matte and satin finishes as part of its design language.
Matte finishes may gradually become smoother or brighter in areas that frequently touch the skin, clothing, or other surfaces. This is normal and reflects the way the jewelry is worn.
A professional jeweler may be able to refresh the finish. Refinishing should not be performed unnecessarily because the process removes a small amount of metal.
Everyday Care
Remove fine jewelry before:
- Swimming
- Showering
- Sleeping
- Exercising
- Gardening
- Household cleaning
- Lifting heavy objects
- Applying perfume, lotion, cosmetics, or hairspray
Avoid exposing jewelry to:
- Chlorine and bleach
- Household chemicals
- Saltwater
- Abrasive materials
- Extreme heat
- Sudden temperature changes
Jewelry should not be worn during activities that may place pressure on gemstones, chains, settings, or bands.
Cleaning
For many gold pieces set with durable gemstones:
- Mix a small amount of mild soap with lukewarm water.
- Clean the piece gently using a very soft brush.
- Rinse carefully with clean water.
- Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Do not use toothpaste, abrasive powders, bleach, harsh household cleaners, or unapproved chemical jewelry cleaners.
Ultrasonic and steam cleaning are not appropriate for every gemstone or setting. When uncertain, consult a professional jeweler before cleaning.
Delicate Gemstones
Pearls, opals, emeralds, turquoise, tourmalines, and other delicate, included, or treated gemstones may require specialized care.
Pearls should be wiped gently with a soft cloth after wear and kept away from perfume, cosmetics, heat, and chemicals.
Emeralds and tourmalines should be protected from impact, abrupt temperature changes, harsh chemicals, and unsuitable ultrasonic cleaning.

Gemstone Treatments
Certain gemstones may be treated using recognized industry practices to improve their color, stability, or appearance.
Relevant treatments will be disclosed where known and materially applicable. Care requirements may vary depending on the stone and treatment.
Storage
Store each piece separately in its original box or a soft jewelry pouch.
Avoid allowing pieces to rub against one another. Diamonds and other hard gemstones can scratch gold, pearls, and softer gemstones.
Fasten chains before storing them and lay them flat to reduce tangling.
Keep jewelry in a dry area away from prolonged sunlight, excessive humidity, and sudden temperature changes.
Professional Maintenance
We recommend having frequently worn jewelry professionally inspected approximately once per year.
Daily-wear rings, pavé settings, raised gemstones, delicate prongs, and fine chains may benefit from more frequent inspection.
Professional inspection may identify worn metal, loose gemstones, damaged prongs, or other concerns before they become more serious.
